AI & Call Recording Notice

Effective 6 October 2026

What happens when you speak with an AI agent that Callgentic builds or runs for a business, and the choices you have.

Who you are talking to

  • Our agents act for a business, our customer. The agent names that business at the start of the call.
  • The agent is an AI, not a person, and says so at the start of the call. Ask it at any time and it will confirm it.
  • Callgentic Inc. provides the technology. The business decides why it is calling you and how it uses what you say, under its own privacy policy.

What happens to your call

  • During the call: your voice is converted to text and processed by AI models so the agent can understand you and reply. The agent's replies are spoken by a computer-generated voice.
  • Transcripts: a written record of the call is kept so the business can see what was said and act on it, for example a booking or a message.
  • Recordings: a call is recorded only if the business has turned recording on. When it is on, you hear that the call may be recorded before the conversation continues.
  • Actions: the agent may book, change or cancel appointments, take messages or pass details to the business's systems, as the business has set it up. It confirms an action only after the system has done it.

How the information is used

  • The business uses it under its own privacy policy.
  • Callgentic uses it only to provide, secure and troubleshoot the service for that business. We do not sell it, and we do not use your call to train AI models.
  • Our service providers that help run calls are listed on our Subprocessors page.

Your choices

  • Talk to a person: ask the agent for a person. Where the business has set up a transfer or a callback, the agent will arrange it.
  • Stop the calls: say "don't call me again" or similar during a call, or reply STOP to a text. We record the request immediately and the business's agents stop calling or texting that number. The law gives up to 10 business days to honor it; our systems apply it at once.
  • Your data: ask the business for a copy of your call record or for it to be deleted. You can also email us and we will pass your request on and help the business answer it.
  • Emergencies: an agent cannot send emergency help. If you are in danger, hang up and call 911 or your local emergency number.
